Why Narendra Modi Became Such A Phenomena ?

Narendra Modi was an ordinary BJP  functionary based in Delhi  and used to participate in TV debates and discussions. He was however suave and civil and would show his dislike if someone did not behave and crossed the line of decency.During a TV 18 debate he was aghast by  the way Raghuvansa Prashad Singh was conducting himself. He had said then public ally  that due to compelling political reason he had to sit with the people who had no manners at all.
Narendra Modi was not considered a heavyweight politician even in his own state, Gujarat. When he was being sent to Gujarat ,Pundits were unanimous in their opinion that he would prove to be an absolute failure. But the way Modi handled the relief and rehabilitation of the earthquake victims made his critics eat their own words.
Then  the unfortunate incidents of Godhra Killings and   Gujarat riot took place . Politicians and Media failed to assess the anger of the people of Gujarat and tried to make Modi solely accountable  for the riot. These politicians forgot that the kind of police force we have in India, it is simply incapable to stop such a large mob fury.Gujarat police had acted but that was too little for many and they wanted the ouster of Modi at any cost.
Modi had become international villain suddenly and this led a sympathy wave towards him .
This was just the beginning. The whole secular brigade went after Modi to oust him at any cost. They were being supported by the Media. This victimisation made Modi more popular among the masses and he grew stronger and stronger afterward .
In the meanwhile Modi concentrated on development and put Gujarat on an unprecedented developmental trajectory. His efforts got recognised and he became an developmental icon in the eyes of the Corporate world.
This Zeal of development attracted youths and he was being looked upon to replicate his developmental agenda throughout the country.
BJP recognised his popularity and made him the prime ministerial candidate despite the opposition of Nitish Kumar.
Modi has been growing in popularity and is expected to win the election and be the prime minister of India in 1914.There is absolutely no doubt about that.
