Lalu P.Yadav can become a potent force if he is able to attract Muslim votes once again . Millions are being spent on portraying Narendra Modi as the person who allowed Gujarat riot to happen.No one has bothered to introspect that whatever happened,happened due to the brutal Godhra incidents wherein Hindus returning from Ayodhya were burnt alive.That kind of heinous crime yet again might be followed by the same kind of revenge.No government on earth can quell that.That also explains the 1984 riots.
Despite all the might of the central government and an extremely hostile media,Narendra Modi has come clean of all the allegations.But neither the conventional media nor the political parties dependent on Muslim votes are willing to accept that plain truth.
It is absolutely true that a large section Gujarati Muslims who are not receiving the Saudi Money have moved on and have embraced Modi as an extraordinary leader capable of leading the country.But the perception about Modi amongst the Muslims living outside the Gujarat has remained the same.Extraordinary amount of money is being spent to portray Modi as the person hostile towards Muslims.Concerted efforts of vested interests are leaving no stones unturned to keep that perception alive.
It seems that Nitish Kumar is paranoid of Lalu Prashad Yadav.The fear that Lalu may bounce back has forced him to oppose the candidature of Narendra Modi .By opposing Modi he has ensured that his Muslim votes remain intact.
But it is equally true that Nitish Kumar can not let upper castes votes to slip away and if he parts away with the BJP then that might happen.His all calculations can go haywire.So he needs to be cautious.He must not stretch the issue beyond a certain point otherwise it would prove to be a worst kind of misadventure.Nitish Kumar,hopefully will salvage the situation and the BJP-JDU combo would romp home more than 35 seats in the forthcoming election.
